Sankaigudda Goes on PICNIC

Sankaigudda ward is proud to organize one day picnic to its ward members. Every year we used to organize Ward day. But then this year, for a change we decided to have a full day outing. It was decided during the ward meet in Oct 2009 that we should go for picnic. Even the date and the location was decided in October itself. Accordingly a Committee was set up and the responsiblilities were shared by ward members.
On the 31st January 2010 Morining at 9.30 am we started from our ward. Ward members arranged their own private vehicles for this purpose. Totally 40 ward members including children, youth and even the aged members participated in the picnic.
At 10.00 am we arrived in the picnic spot at Tannirbavi. With the Initial prayer picnic program took off. Ward was divided into groups and games were conducted to keep the picnic spirit high. The participation and the involvement of every member was very much appreciable. We were at the beach side till 1.30 pm playing games, dancing, singing and chatting.
At 1.30 pm we moved to the Church Mini Hall which was booked well in advance and delicious lunch was arranged for all the members. After lunch we conducted indoor games and spot games. All the participated members were given gifts and sweets. At 3.30 pm tea was served. Immediately after tea some went to the sea to take a dip and later all returned home with lot of satisfaction for having arranged this picnic.
We thank the Lord for bringing us together to share in the company of one another.
